Carrier Cargo Insurance
Every carrier assigned to your shipment must maintain active cargo insurance, verified directly through their underwriter and cross-checked against FMCSA records before pickup. Enclosed carriers maintain elevated structural limits appropriate for high-value vehicles.
Bill of Lading Inspection
Coverage is tied to the condition documented on the Bill of Lading (BOL) at pickup and delivery. Customers are responsible for reviewing and signing the BOL inspection at both ends of transit — this document is the basis for any damage claim.
Filing a Claim
If damage occurs during transit, note it on the delivery BOL before the driver departs, photograph the damage, and call us within 24 hours. Claims are filed directly with the carrier's insurance underwriter, and our team assists throughout the process.
What's Not Covered
Standard cargo insurance typically excludes personal items left in the vehicle, pre-existing conditions noted at pickup, and mechanical issues unrelated to transit. Review your specific carrier's policy for full terms.
